Ghana’s premium high-definition satellite broadcast service provider, SES HD PLUS over the weekend arrived in Takoradi to share how its HD+ TV service brand delivers world class TV viewing experiences to homes in Ghana. The HD+ team also partnered with Ghana’s most innovative urban radio, YFM, to thrill thousands of patrons at the third edition of the Y Clash of the DJs.
The HD+ Keteke roadshow featured an HD+ branded truck led by a popular actor in Takoradi, Too Cute, through the principal streets of Sekondi and Takoradi. The HD+ team also paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Apremdo, Nana Egya Kwamina XI. The HD+ Keteke climaxed the activities of the roadshow by massively supporting the YClashwiththeDJs event held at the Takoradi mall. The event was hosted by Akrobetu and PM with performances from Amerado, Camidoh as well as several acts from artistes based in Takoradi.
After an enthralling battle, Y-Kumasi (102.5 FM) annihilating their colleagues Y-Accra (107.9FM), and Y-Takoradi (97.9FM) to be crowned masters of the turntables.YFM-Kumasi proved they are indeed the ‘Killa Squad’ in grand style with DJ Carcious, DJ Lexes, DJ Coleda and their hypeman, DJ Bongo winning a total of 722 points from six rounds ‘Made in Ghana’, Afrobeat, Throwback, Hip Hop, Reggae Dancehall, Freestyle sessions and in the end, winning Ghc 50,000 worth of prizes including an all-expense paid trip to Dubai.It was six rounds of intense competition between the Y Triangle brands but solid entertainment for audiences across diverse platforms.
