Otoo Addo Steps Down, Ayew Disappointed On His Penalty Missed.

Ghana’s coach Otoo Addo after 2 goal defeat against Uruguay in his press conference said that he has resigned as the Head Coach Of the Black Stars. 

Otoo Addo, who took Ghana to the 2022 World Cup lost two games and won 1 in Group H against Portugal, Uruguay, and won against South Korea.

According to him “I always said if we qualified for the World Cup I’d resign afterward, even if we were world champions,” he said.

“My family sees our future in Germany.” He added.

For his part, Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew expressed how he felt when he missed the penalty against Uruguay in the 21st minute of the game. 

He said, “ I feel disappointed … we had the opportunity to get to the next stage… the penalty I missed is difficult to take… we didn’t get it right… I’m very optimistic for the future…”.

Ghana lost to Uruguay in 2010 and after 12 years Ghana lost again to Uruguay at the Al Janoub Stadium at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup
