Players ALLEGEDLY Dropped By Coach Otoo Addo Ahead Of 2022 World Cup In Qatar.

Black Stars Coach Otoo Addo, is currently trending on Twitter as he has allegedly dropped some players for the 2022  World Cup in Qatar. 

It’ll be recalled that a provisional 55 squad was unveiled, but it looks like some key players were dropped for the upcoming biggest tournament (World Cup).

Although many Ghanaians are waiting for Head Coach Otto Addo, to confirm his 26-man squad for the World Cup, some hints revealed some key players were dropped in the 55-man squad dropped earlier. 

According to speculations, these players were unable to find themselves in the 26-man squad of Otoo Addo since he’s set to confirm his squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Josep Paintsil KRC Genk

Ghanaian forwarder, Joseph Paintsil who plays for KRC Genk has been in form this season and has scored six goals and assists in all competitions but might not make it to the World Cup. 

It’ll be recalled that Joseph Paintsil was absent from the Kirin Cup and dropped for Ghana’s friendly game against Brazil and Nicaragua. 

Coach Otoo Addo in a press confab, affirmed that  “He was very close to making the squad, but we have to make some tough decisions. The decisions are now even tougher now with the new players joining in.

”Joseph is doing well but I feel it would’ve been good for him to play the Japan and Chile matches to show more of him but he had some problems and decided to leave the team, which I understand.

”But for me, I can only judge what I see, and at the moment I see others ahead of him,” he said.

According to, these players although Coach Otoo Addo has not confirmed might not make it to  World Cup 2022. 

This player includes;  Mubarak Wakaso, Abdul Mumin, Majeed Ashimeru, Ibrahim Danlad, Andy Yiadom, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Mudasiru Salifu, Antoine Semenyo, Felix Afena-Gyan.
